Multiple class trademark applications are possible in Turkey.

For obtainment of the date of filing a trademark application in Turkey must contain:

*   name and address of the applicant;

*   representation of the mark;

*   a copy of the POA (simply signed and stamped);

*   payment of the filing fees;

*   list of goods and services according to Nice Agreement.

Protection begins starting from the date of application. A trademark registration is valid for ten years from the date of application.
The registration is renewable for ten year periods.
Time frame for a smooth case:

Examiners generally initiates the first examination in about 1 month. If there is no any refusal decision, then, the trademark is published at the earliest Bulletin for 3 months and the 3rd parties can file an opposition against the trademark.After the opposition term, if any opposition is not filed within the publication period, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office releases the registration decision about the application in around 2 months. After that, the applicant should pay the registration completing fee for receiving the certificate within 2 months. Turkish Patent does release the registration certificate in 1 month approx.. Total timeframe changes between 6-9 months for a smooth case in Turkey.
